Hill receives offer, will visit TCU

When it comes time to choose a school, Southlake Carroll quarterback Kenny Hill will have his pick among the nation's elite.

On Friday night, Hill told PurpleMenace.com that among the schools in the running could be TCU.

He received an offer from the Frogs earlier this week and will visit TCU this weekend.

"TCU and Ole Miss both offered this week," Hill said.

Hill had contact with Frogs head coach Gary Patterson earlier in the week.

"He messaged me on Facebook," he said.
"This is the first contact I have had with (TCU). He said that he liked how I played."

As for Hill's interest level in the Frogs?

"It is only 45 minutes away from my house. My little brother likes it a lot and he wants me to go there.

"I like it and I think it would be good to go there," he said.

Hill, ranked as the No. 165 overall player in the nation, will be part of TCU's junior day on Sunday and plans to attend LSU's spring practice next month.

One former Frog in particular caught his eye.

"Andy Dalton, just watching him. (TCU) is pretty much right down the road and it was cool watching him and all the success he had.

"Now he is in the NFL playing for the Bengals and took them to the playoffs. That's crazy and it is obviously a great program to be in.

"They are definitely on the rise now and in the Big 12 - that's huge.

"I'd be playing more (teams) around my hometown. Texas, Oklahoma and those teams. It is much closer and I could have my family out there more."

Hill attended the Frogs' games against BYU at Cowboys Stadium last year and was originally scheduled to visit Texas this weekend.

A baseball tournament in Round Rock kept him from that visit.

Hill has visited Baylor, Texas A&M and Texas Tech.

He has offers from the Bears, Red Raiders and Aggies as well as the new one from Ole Miss and TCU.

As for when he'll commit?

"I'm going to try and commit after spring ball," he said.
