While Saturday's home game against Indiana wasn't a huge recruiting weekend for Ohio State, there were still a handful of outstanding prospects on campus to take in the victory. Among the visitors was class of 2013 Shaker Heights (Ohio) wide receiver De'Niro Laster. The 6-foot-3, 215-pound prospect is one of Ohio's top juniors and the game was Laster's first at Ohio Stadium.

"I liked it a lot," said Laster. "For my first time being down there it wasn't amazing just because of who they were playing but I liked it a lot."

Before the game, Laster was able to speak with Ohio State head coach Luke Fickell who made it a point to make Laster aware of Ohio State's interest level.

"I got to talk to coach Fickell for a few minutes," Laster explained. "He didn't say too much but basically he told me that they're interested in me and that they're real busy right now but after the season that's when they are really getting into the 2013 class and they will be taking looks at a lot of people."

Laster holds early offers from Akron, Bowling Green, and Temple and could be on the verge of several more over the next couple of months.

"I don't have any new offers but I can tell you that Buffalo is going to be the next one, probably within the next week," he said. "Ohio State, Michigan, Tennessee, West Virginia, Louisville, USC, Syracuse, Iowa, and Wisconsin, pretty much everybody (is showing interest)."

At the moment, a group of five schools are standing out to the talented athlete.

"I like Michigan a lot, I like Ohio State, I like Tennessee, USC, and Louisville," he said.

On Ohio State - "I like Ohio State. Every kid from Ohio would love to have the opportunity to play for their home team. I've grown up being an Ohio State fan pretty much so I just like them."

On Michigan - "I'm real close to Frank Clark. When he made his decision, I was like 'how can you like Michigan, man?' but basically they are on the rise and coming back up and I like what their program is doing right now."

On Tennessee - "I love Tennessee. When I went down there they just showed me so much love. Coach (Peter) Sirmon, he treated me well and we have a good relationship."

On USC - "In earlier interviews I said that I wouldn't be afraid to go far from home and I always had my eye on them but I never knew if they were going to be in contact with me. Recently, they just started sending me a lot of mail and we're starting to be in contact more."

On Louisville - "Me and coach (Charlie) Strong, we talk about two times every week. We have just built a relationship and my step-brother (Terry Rozier) he just committed there for basketball. I really like what they're doing and I plan to make it down there on a visit."

Laster has two schools in mind for unofficial visits over the next few weeks.

"Louisville's last home game is this weekend so I think I'm going to try to go to that one," he said. "I think for sure that I'm going to the Michigan/Ohio State game."

Laster is the No. 19 ranked prospect in the class of 2013 Ohio rankings.
