OL, Hulick is high on the Black Knights
Carl Hulick is clearly a prospect that is on Army's radar and it may not be long before he pulls in an offer from the Black Knights.
"I haven't gotten an offer yet from Army, but I have been talking to Coach Saadat a lot and he is coming out the second week in May to come meet me and watch my practice," declares Hulick.
"I like him a lot and he is really shows me that cares and I appreciate that. We actually talked about me wrestling at Army as well. And I asked him if it was feasible to do both, but my primary focus is football."
One thing that Hulick has made clear and that is seeing Army up close and personal. "I would really like to get West Point for an official visit."
Along with his interest in Army, there are a couple of other programs that has caught Hulick's eye.
Washington being one such school that Hulick is high on, although he admitted that he has yet to hear from the Huskies.
Another school of interest is Colorado State. "They are showing me some interest and Coach Hill from Colorado State came down to meet me," says Hulick, who recently took a visit to UCLA.
"I was invited to attend a spring game at UCLA, but I walked away not being interested for various reasons."
So what would be Hulick's response if Army were to offer?
"I would not verbal right away and play it by ear," he said. "I'm Christian, I'm blessed to be the position that I'm in and I would surely pray, along talked to my parents. I would absolutely commit to Army if I felt comfortable and I already like them a lot."
In addition to football, the junior from Esperanza High School in Anaheim (Ca) also wrestle at the heavyweight classification.
Tipping the scales at 265-pounds, the 6-foot-6 prospect has the physical make-up that Army head coach, Rich Ellerson likes in his offensive linemen.
