Brandon Flowers 7-on-7 standouts

On Saturday in Delray Beach, Prep and Sports, XPE and Kansas City Chief cornerback Brandon Flowers had their first annual football camp and 7-on-7 tournament. Glades Central High School minus their top players beat Dwyer High School to win the 7-on-7 championship. Here is a look at the top performers of the tournament.

1. Nick O'Leary - Dwyer - 2011 - Tight End

O'Leary put in what has become a typical Nick O'Leary performance this off season. He was too physical to for anyone to press at the line of scrimmage and catches everything in site.

2. Robert Lockhart - West Boca Raton - 2011 - Wide Receiver

Lockhart a 6 foot, 175-pound wide receiver came from no where to have an outstanding performance. He just kept catching touchdowns all day. Lockhart has long arms and showed to have good hands.

3. Jonathan Whitest - Glades Central - 2012 - Wide Receiver

Whitest is overshadowed by the extremely deep wide receiving group at Glades Central. With most of their team playing in a tournament in Tampa this was his chance to shine and he didn't disappoint in leading Glades Central to the title. At 6 foot 2, 190-pounds he was a tough match up for smaller defensive backs.

4. Ezekiel Turner - Delray Beach Atlantic - 2011 - Wide Receiver

Turner had a solid performance all day making acrobatic catches. Right now Atlantic is breaking in a new quarterback so these events are important for him to develop some timing with Turner.

5. Jeffery Fulwood - Suncoast - 2011 - Defensive Back/Wide Receiver

Fulwood played safety on defense and was Suncoast's go to wide receiver on offense. Fulwood is hearing from Troy, FAU, FIU, Bowling Green and Rutgers.

6. Robert Way - Glades Central - 2011 - Linebacker

Although during the season the 6 foot 2, 200-pound Way plays defensive end on Saturday he spent most of his time at free safety. He made several picks on defense. Most colleges are recruiting him as a linebacker. Way has offers from FAU, Syracuse, Marshall, Buffalo and Hampton.

7. Shawn McClaine - Dwyer - 2011 - Running Back

McClaine was able to make some big plays coming out of the backfield and when he lined up in the slot. He will be asked to pick up some of the slack for Dwyer's offense in trying to replace Matt Elam.

8. Darrell Hunter - Dwyer - 2011 - Cornerback

The 5 foot 9, 175-pound Hunter played well at cornerback and wide receiver for Dwyer.

9. Angelo Jean-Louis - Palm Beach Central - 2012 - Wide Receiver

Jean-Louis' high school team didn't play in the event, but that didn't stop him from participating. He was the standout on a team of players from various schools. Jean-Louis will be one of the top prospects in the 2012 class.

10. David Bailey - Glades Central - 2013 - Cornerback

Bailey is another young prospect from Glades Central. He is long and has a knack for getting his hands on passes. With him only entering his sophomore year of high school his upside is tremendous.

OTHER NOTES:

Defensive tackle Corey King of West Boca High School played center all afternoon for his team. The 6 foot 2, 260-pound King has one offer from FIU.

Keith Bowers defensive tackle from Dwyer High School was there taking in the action. The 6 foot 1, 260-pound Bowers recently added an offer from FAU to go along with his other offers from Maryland, Marshall, Middle Tennessee State and Eastern Illinois.
