Coaches have a lot of roles
When you really think about it, football is a 360-minute game with six different teams on the field when you factor in offense, defense and special teams.
There's what the players do on the field, but also what the units are able to accomplish on the sidelines. There's never a dull moment and game day coaching responsibilities go way beyond simply coaching a specific position group.
Where are Texas Tech coaches Mike Smith, Kevin Curtis, Mike Jinks and Eric Morris?
They're the eyes in the sky, up in the coaches' booths of press boxes. The four coaches have specific roles that pertain to their position groups, the units as a whole in addition to what the opposition is showing, and they're seeing it better than the coaches on the sidelines.
