Top moments of 2013 cycle
You can look at Texas Tech football in several ways. But you will always have to give the Red Raiders credit at quarterback and receiver.
In the grand scheme of things Tech's quarterback play has been well above average each year for the past 14 years starting with Kliff Kingsbury and working forward through time.
So why was it so hard for a school that will at least give you a chance to go on and play quarterback in the NFL to land anyone at the position last spring?
Tech struck out on Texas-bound quarterback Tyrone Swoopes as well as Cody Thomas, J.T. Barrett and Kenny Hill who are in-state kids heading to Oklahoma, Texas A&M and Ohio State respectively.
The fan base began to panic. Former offensive coordinator Neal Brown did not.
