RedRaiderSports.com If you ask former Vanderbilt and Pepperdine head coach Jan van Breda Kloff three questions about Texas Tech associate head coach Chris Walker, you know more than enough about Walker. It's all positive.
As soon as news hit Billy Gillispie had resigned from Tech, van Breda Kloff began to pray Walker will finally get his chance as a head coach.
"I have the utmost respect for Chris Walker as both a coach -- He's a brilliant basketball mind who has kind of flown under the radar because he hasn't been a head coach," van Breda Kloff said. "A lot of the times a head coach will get a lot of recognition for how smart they are because they win a big game or whatever and are on the center stage, but in a lot of situations there are great assistant coaches doing great things as well who aren't recognized for them.
