Rivals100 WR plans Oregon visit
Bishop Alemany wide receiver Steven Mitchell is starting to break away from the pack. The 5-foot-11, 175-pound athlete was recently in Los Angeles for the annual NIKE camp pitting the region's top talent against one another in a day of testing and drills.
Despite the high caliber of competition, the four-star rated recruit walked away with the camp's wide receiver MVP award.
Duck Sports Authority caught up with the blue-chip prospect to get his thoughts on the camp and an update on his recruitment.
"It was a good experience," said Mitchell of the LA NIKE camp. "There was a lot of good talent there. All my friends were there and we just played hard against each other."
On film one of the first things that stands out about Mitchell is that he is generally the fastest guy on the field in any given game. At the LA NIKE combine he experienced the nuances of electronic timing.
