The University of Texas-San Antonio is set to begin its inaugural season of football in 2011. The Roadrunners, led by former national championship-winning head coach Larry Coker, will spend one season at the FCS level before joining the WAC a year later.

UTSA is starting to become a force on the recruiting trail. This past weekend they received a commitment from one of the top players in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex in Denton (Texas) Guyer linebacker Blake Terry.
