The Bruins have done a very nice job recruiting four-star defensive tackle Mickey Johnson (6-1, 315, 5.0) from Covington (La.) St. Paul's. So much so, that Johnson and his dad visited the Westwood campus last June and made quite an impression.

"I like the atmosphere at UCLA," Johnson said. "The academic support is great. They have a huge staff just for that.

"Also the campus is beautiful and well kept," Johnson said. "I just like UCLA overall, plus I see the football program is building up. They should be something special in the future and I'm actually from California.
